Pascale Zwicky to join the Institute of Anatomy with an ERC Starting Grant

We are delighted to announce that Pascale Zwicky will join the Institute of Anatomy in spring 2027, bringing with her an ERC Starting Grant for her project "ExclusionMap – Causal mapping of immune exclusion and infiltration in cancer". ERC Starting Grants are highly competitive awards supporting excellent early-career researchers in establishing their own independent research programmes.

Her research will investigate why immune cells often fail to effectively infiltrate solid tumors and aims to identify the mechanisms that drive this immune exclusion. By combining large-scale patient data with experimental models, ExclusionMap seeks to provide a basis for new therapeutic strategies that improve immune access to tumors.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming Pascale and her team to our institute. Her research will bring exciting new perspectives to the institute's scientific community and create many opportunities for exchange and collaboration across research groups. We look forward to supporting her as she establishes her group, builds new scientific connections, and takes the next steps in her academic career.
