Sofia Micheli receives multiple travel grants and prestigious presentation invitations
We are proud to share that Sofia Micheli, PhD candidate in the group of Prof. Sommer, has been recognized with several competitive travel grants and presentation invitations at international conferences this year.

In January 2025, Sofia presented her research as an oral presentation at the Keystone Symposia on Neural Influence on Cancer, Tumor Microenvironment, and Cancer Immunology in Banff, supported by the MLS Travel Grant (Zurich PhD program in Molecular Life Sciences) and a grant from the Hartmann Müller-Stiftung.

She presented her work at the ISREC-SCCL Symposium in Lausanne in September 2025.

In addition, Sofia has also been awarded the EACR Travel Grant to deliver a short talk at the upcoming EACR Cancer Neuroscience Conference in Bilbao in October 2025.
These prestigious invitations and awards underline the international recognition of Sofia’s research on the interactions between the nervous system and cancer. We warmly congratulate her on these achievements!
