"Conserved transcriptional networks of tubulogenesis - towards a mechanistic understanding of renal malformations"

The kidney is the body's most important excretory organ. Nevertheless, there are major gaps in our understanding of the basic molecular processes that control the embryonic development of this vital organ. This project aims to contribute to a better understanding of normal kidney development and the causes of kidney malformations.
